Online Physiotherapy for Patients in the UK

Stuck on an NHS physio waiting list? Video consultations from India — morning and lunchtime UK slots, started within days, at a fraction of UK private session rates.

What online physiotherapy from India means for UK patients

Online physiotherapy (tele-rehab) is a live video consultation in which a physiotherapist assesses your movement, prescribes a progressive exercise programme, and corrects your technique in real time — the exercise-based core of rehabilitation, delivered over a video call instead of a clinic table. Realign Rehab Clinic provides these sessions from Faridabad, India, led by Dr. Vaishali Suri (BPT, MIAP), for patients in United Kingdomwho can't get timely or affordable physiotherapy locally.

NHS musculoskeletal physiotherapy is free — and waiting lists for routine referrals commonly run weeks to months, during which a treatable problem quietly becomes a chronic one. Going private costs £40–75 per session in most UK cities, more in London, and a proper 10–12 session course lands somewhere between a holiday and a mortgage payment.

Why patients in United Kingdom book video rehab with us

The UK pattern is the waiting-list limbo: you've seen the GP, the referral is 'in the system', and nobody can tell you whether physio starts in three weeks or three months. Early-stage rehab is exactly when exercise intervention works best — and exactly what video delivers. Many of our UK patients use us to start structured rehab within days, then either continue with us or hand a working plan to their NHS physio when the appointment finally arrives.

Nearly two million people of Indian origin live in the UK — Southall to Leicester to Harrow. If your mother in India already sees us in clinic, or you simply want a physiotherapist who switches between English and Hindi mid-sentence when your shoulder demands it, that's normal here.

Session times that work from United Kingdom

India is 4.5–5.5 hours ahead of the UK depending on British Summer Time. Our clinic day (8 AM–8 PM IST) covers roughly 3:30 AM–3:30 PM UK time — so UK mornings and lunch hours book easily. Evening UK slots aren't possible, which suits early risers and flexible workers best.

What works over video — and what doesn't

We'd rather lose a booking than pretend everything translates to a screen. Video sessions are excellent for movement assessment, progressive exercise rehab, posture retraining, load management and pain education. They cannot deliver manual therapy, dry needling, cupping or electrotherapy — if your assessment shows you need hands-on care, we say so in the first session and help you find it locally. Online physiotherapy from United Kingdom — common questions

Can online physiotherapy from India replace my NHS referral?

Don't cancel the referral — keep your place in the queue. What we offer is a way to start structured, physiotherapist-supervised rehab within days instead of months. When your NHS appointment arrives, you bring a working exercise plan and weeks of progress notes; NHS physios generally welcome both.

Will Bupa, AXA or my UK private insurance cover sessions from India?

No — UK insurers cover HCPC-registered physiotherapists practising in the UK. Our sessions are private-pay, priced in Indian rupees, which is why a month of weekly video sessions typically costs less than one or two UK private appointments.

What times can I book from the UK?

Mornings and lunchtimes — our clinic day maps to roughly 3:30 AM–3:30 PM UK time, so 7 AM–2 PM UK slots are the sweet spot. Saturdays included. WhatsApp +91 9818185589 and we'll confirm in UK time.

Is an India-based physiotherapist qualified to treat UK patients over video?

Dr. Vaishali Suri is a BPT-qualified physiotherapist based in India and a member of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists. She is not HCPC-registered, and video sessions are telehealth exercise-rehabilitation guidance rather than UK clinical care. Red-flag symptoms — trauma, unexplained weight loss, night pain, bladder or bowel changes — need your GP or 111 first. We screen for these at the start of every assessment.
